PRAYER UPDATE!

Thank you all for praying with us over the things that were needed and necessary in order for us to be able to go back to Kigoma, Tanzania! As we were “pre-prayer-ing” to return, our great and awesome God was working :)

The 2 big prayer items were:

* Our work permit (one part of the visa) to be granted

*Isaac to get accepted into RVA

PTL both of these have been answered! We first learned of Isaac getting into RVA over a week ago and took that as the “first-fruits” of more answers to prayer to come. Sure enough, this past Sunday, Mother’s Day, I checked the status and our work permit had been GRANTED. We are now working on the resident permit process with the TZ govt., but the work permit is the bigger of the two.

Not only did we see answers to prayer on those two big items, but also learned this week that CMML-TZ was granted “Charitable Status” by the Tanzanian govt. which means a much easier process in the future. This status will possibly eliminate the work permit process, and allow for long term service in the country!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”

Ephesians 3:20a

As we continue with the resident permit process, we are planning our flights back to TZ. We plan to leave the US on Monday July 18! We have much to do to be ready for our departure.

We have other items for prayer as we continue “pre-prayer-ing” for our return to TZ!

1. All 4 Children’s passports have been sent off to be renewed. We will need them back by mid June.

2. We must prepare for the move out of our apartment in Raleigh, and reduce our belongings down to 12 suitcases!

(Always a challenge)

3. We also have several doctor and dentist appointments for everyone that must be done before we leave.

4. I, John, am speaking at MTYC this upcoming week (May 16-20). Praying for the Lord to do great things in all of our lives that week.

THANK YOU ALL so much for all of your support, prayers, and encouragement along the way!

We are excited to get back to TZ and return to our work there.

Truly,

“Africa is calling and we must go!”
