Pressing On

As we continue to pray over everything surrounding Camp Nuru, we are pressing on in the various ministries the Lord has given us. We are also enjoying our time with Isaac while he is home on his summer break. He will be with us until the end of August when he will begin 10th grade 😲 and turn 16 later in November this year! 😱 He is the new favorite in Kizenga among the kids in the kids club :)

We are thankful for how the Lord is using the Emmaus courses here in Kigoma and Ujiji. We recently counted just over 60 students actively taking the courses right now or who have recently completed the program! Last week 2 more students finished all of the courses and received their final certificate :)

This is Mzaliwa (above 👆🏼). He was a Muslim who heard the Gospel being preached in town a few years ago, and trusted Christ as his Savior. He is now in fellowship at a Baptist church in Ujiji, helping preach occasionally. Praise the Lord for the many ways HE is working. Mzaliwa completed all 36 of the Emmaus courses and is hungry for more!

The Maktaba continues to be a meeting place for many different people. Eye glasses are going out most days, videos are available to watch in the afternoons, and it is a place for good discussions on spiritual questions. Recently, a Muslim man (I'm leaving his name out for safety) came in after reading in the New Testament and was sharing all that he had learned from reading. It was amazing to hear his enthusiasm and how he was realizing that Jesus was the Savior and the way to God. Finally, Gerald just said, "I think you just need to make a decision to follow Jesus!". Please join us in praying for him!

(BTW - Not him pictured below)

Gerald and I are back in the schools teaching through the book of Acts. The kids are so thrilled when we arrive, and come running down the dirt road to meet us. This is truly a highlight of the week for me!

This past week we had 92 students in one class! Amazing 🤩!

We are really enjoying the little village church out in Kizenga, and this past Sunday we were encouraged with a few new visitors. There is plenty of room for spiritual growth for us all, and quality is more important than quantity! Please pray for us to be a bright light to this village and for the Lord to add to our group in His time :)

Each week we spend several hours visiting house to house in Kizenga to share the Gospel of Christ. This past week we visited one house and met a 90 year old Muslim man and his wife who was blind. We had a good conversation with them about how to know for sure, before you die, that you are saved, forgiven, and ready to meet God. We are hoping to visit them again soon. Pray for these dear souls on the edge of eternity!

There is a lot going on each week here and we SO appreciate your prayers and support as we press on in the work of the Lord . We are praying daily about Camp Nuru and are expecting the Lord to do great things in the near future! We are also working on getting Jennifer's Tanzanian Nursing License which will allow her to work in the hospital here.

Please join us in praying over these big things!

We are excited about a team (8 people) from the US coming out in September for about 3 weeks! They will be helping out with various construction projects and serving in various ministry opportunities .

Please also pray for them!

We love and miss you all!
