It was a joy to get back in the schools this past week! I handed out Gideon Bibles to the students as they start their new year and yes, they were happy and Rejoicing! I gave them a clear Gospel message and look forward to continuing on in our study of the New Testament.
We have so much to be thankful for as believers in Christ! Eternal life, forgiveness of sins, counted as righteous before God - yes we should be Rejoicing!

Next week Jennifer and the girls leave for the US arriving Thursday, and Sam and I leave for a weekend with Isaac in Nairobi. We are rejoicing over these opportunities ahead to see family, friends, and for Jennifer's journey to get her nurses license renewed. We appreciate your prayers over these next two months as we will be apart and especially for Jennifer as she works in the hospital for her clinicals. Lots of challenges and new experiences ahead, but the Lord is with us and knowing that enables us to Rejoice along the way!

Our little church plant/revival is doing well and we are getting established little by little. We moved into the unfinished building area, cleaned it up, built a canopy for shade and shelter, and even built a podium out of bricks and rocks. Just using what we have and focusing our efforts on building up the small group of believers.
We are thankful for the help of Pagi with the children's meeting, and for Luke Johnson who brought some of his students from his discipleship school to dig a hole for a bathroom!
Soon, we hope to get started visiting house to house with the Gospel, plan a kids club to get to know the children well, and possibly show a Gospel film one evening for the people in this village (Kizenga).

I'm thankful we were able to do an open air meeting in Kigoma this week. We had a good crowd and one young man came forward to receive Christ! Rejoicing! Many others received Gideon New Testaments and tracts explaining how to be saved. We appreciate your prayers for soft and receptive hearts!
The weekly door to door work is going well and we have seen some fruit recently - Rejoicing over that!

The Emmaus courses are really taking off here as other missionaries have discovered these studies as an effective discipleship tool. The local prison has increased from 7 prisoners taking the courses to 15! We are Rejoicing over this :)
The maktaba continues to be a bright light in a dark place. As I write this, I am in the maktaba with several children who come here to draw and color - fun! This a safe place to show God's love and light to many and continues to be an effective outpost for the Gospel. Rejoicing!!

Thank you so much for your continued support and prayer! We are so encouraged at the many opportunities here to serve the Lord and for the faithful Tanzanian believers the Lord has brought to us to further the work here.

We will keep you updated on the Camp Nuru progress! Right now we are continuing in the land purchase and surveying process. We are excited about this project and how the Lord will use it to reach many!
REJOICING!
