Seed Sowing

We do a lot of Seed sowing out here in Kigoma. In Ujiji we have sown lots of Seed (Gospel) over the past years and especially recently. Also in Kigoma, and now in Kizenga.

Jesus said in John 4:37,38

"For in this the saying is true: One sows and another reaps. I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored, others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."

I often think about that truth, that perhaps all of our sowing over the past years, and months of the Good Seed of the Gospel, will be reaped by others. When I think of that I rejoice! Either way, between sowing and reaping, time is needed for the Seed to take root and grow. However our Great God chooses to use these labors, we know that His Word will not return void, but it will accomplish the purpose for which it was sent forth!

I recently preached a message in Kizenga on the importance and value of the Word of God, and afterward we gave each adult and child a Gideon NT. It's always a joy to see young children, reading the Word!

The Maktaba in Ujiji continues to be a lighthouse in a dark place. We have been so encouraged by the increase of students taking the Emmaus courses. This past week I sent off to Dodoma (Emmaus head office) for 15 certificates. Each certificate represents the completion of seven courses! Seven of those certificates were for prisoners and the others were for students in Ujiji and surrounding areas. It's so encouraging to know that so many are studying God's Word!

We also provide materials, as we are able, for local pastors who are involved in evangelism. Many of these pastors have come to town for training or Bible school and hear about the Maktaba. Before they go back to their village, they stop by for a box of Bibles or tracts.

On the homefront, Isaac returned home last week! It's been so nice to have him back, and Sam has really enjoyed having his brother home.

Jennifer is continuing on in the process of renewing her nurses license. She begins the final phase of this process with her time in the hospital this Monday. I'm sure she would appreciate any and all prayers as she completes this process, especially for her time in the hospital!

We hope to reunite as a family at the end of April in Dar Es Salaam. We appreciate your prayers that there would not be any more delays in the hospital schedule for Jennifer, and that they would be able to return the last week of April. It's all in the Lords hands!

We're thankful and excited about how the Lord is going to use Jennifer in the future here among the ladies and babies ā¤ļø. She has had a burden for this kind of ministry for a long time, and it is exciting to see the Lord working to fulfill this burden He has given her.

We appreciate so much, your interest, prayers, and support for the work here!
