TZ Here We Come

In a few days “Welcome to Africa” will become a reality for us as we board a plane for Tanzania this coming Monday July 18. This past year has been so good for us in so many ways.
When we came back to the US in April of 2021, we had no idea how long we would be here. We definitely didn’t think we would be here for 15 months! As we look back, we are amazed at all the Lord has done and all He has brought us through. He is so faithful and has used this past year in so many ways to strengthen, revive, and prepare us to go back to TZ. We feel the tug on our hearts to get back to where the Lord has called us to serve Him. Soon we will leave our friends and family behind, but we take with us many wonderful memories.
The phrase “Holding the rope” is an expression that simply means “I’m praying for you.” It means so much to us when we hear that others are “holding the rope” in prayer! Here are a few specific things we are praying about as we make our final preparations to return to Tanzania:
Although each of us has received a visa, we do not have them stamped in our passports yet. Please pray for favor with immigration as we arrive. Our prayer is that we will not have to purchase tourist visas upon entry to cover us until we get to an immigration office in Kigoma.
Please pray that we will all test negative for Covid before we travel.
Please pray for strength as we finish packing and moving out of our apartment.
Thank you all so much for praying!
We will certainly miss you all very much, but we look forward to advancing the Lord’s work in Ujiji and Kigoma together with all of you who will hold the rope for us!"
